| Primary Duties |
Provides high-quality patient treatment in the pre-hospital environment, including, but not limited to patient assessment and reassessments of patients of all ages.
Administers Basic Life Support care to patients in accordance with Holy Name EMS Clinical Policies, NJDOHSS Regulations and the National Scope of Practice for EMT-Basic.
Maintains equipment, vehicles and inventory in accordance with NJDOHSS regulations and Holy Name EMS Department policy. Conducts Daily vehicle and equipment inventory and reports any deficiencies or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate administrator.
Operates EMS vehicles in a safe and responsible manner at all times, including the appropriate use of emergency lights and sirens as per NJ Title 39 Motor Vehicle Codes.
Interacts appropriately with all members of the emergency team. Demonstrates collaborative effort with prehospital providers, other EMS agencies, Fire, Police, Emergency Department staff and Physicians.
Provides immediate response to all emergency dispatches. Responses are in accordance with NJDOHSS regulations and Holy Name EMS Department policy.
Ability to execute treatment plans and interventions based on patient assessment as well as complete documentation of such assessment and treatment. Communicates an accurate report of the patient assessment and treatment plan with other EMS providers. Continues effective communication with bystanders, other EMS providers, physicians and nursing staff.
Adheres to medical and trauma protocols in accordance with NJDOHSS regulations, Holy Name EMS clinical policies and the National Scope of Practice for EMT. Demonstrates the ability to triage, assess and manage medical/trauma/burn patients.
Accurately and completely documents the findings and care on approved ePCR as per NJDOHSS and Holy Name EMS department policy. Obtains complete information including, but not limited to patient demographics, billing information, Assignment of Benefits forms, Consent for Treatment forms. Also obtains patient follow-up (dispositions) from area hospitals.

| Minimum Qualifications |
Education: HS Diploma required.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge including knowledge of ePCR software.
Experience: EMT 2-3 years experience
Certification: Drivers license valid in NJ; Valid NJ Emergency Medical Technician Certification required; Valid CPR Certification; ICS 100, 300.
