| Primary Duties |
Oversees day to day operations and functions of the HIMS staff.
Monitors and implements requirements under the Privacy regulations of HIPAA. Serves
as HIPAA Privacy Officer for hospital.
Contributes to the development of the electronic medical record to ensure the integrity, completeness, timeliness and security of the legal medical record is addressed.
Effectively functions as a liason between HIMS and other departments and units in order to resolve issues relating to medical records.
Monitors timeliness of coding, analysis, assembly, correspondence, and other record processing functions.
Monitors DNFB on a daily basis and implements corrective actions as necessary to reach projected goal.
Monitors accuracy of coding, analysis, assembly and other record processing functions by establishing and implementing department quality assurance activities. Communicates QA findings to HIMS staff.
Provides training to physicians on WebSig and the electronic medical record. |

| Minimum Qualifications |
B.S. degree and RHIA or RHIT preferred. Over 10 years of management experience required. Must have analytical and problem solving ability, as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills. |
