According to the Office of Minority Health, African American women have the highest rates of overweight and obesity compared to other groups in the U.S. About four out of five African American women are overweight or obese. Obesity is a risk factor for many other chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, arthritis and many forms of cancer. Learn about ways to deal with this challenging problem.
