The Central Auxiliary
The Central Auxiliary supports Holy Name Hospital in its mission of healing by staffing the hospital’s Gift Shop, sponsoring fundraising events throughout year, and by supporting the annual Founders Ball, all to raise money for the most pressing needs of the hospital and the School of Nursing. Through member pledges, fundraising proceeds, and proceeds from the gift shop, the Central Auxiliary has already contributed $315,000 to the Millennium Campaign. The Auxiliary’s yearly events include a fashion show, Mother’s Day plant sale, bake and book sales, a recognition luncheon, and a Christmas bazaar. The group also publishes Marian, a newsletter to update members on its activities.
Men and women of all ages are invited to join the Central Auxiliary. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month in Holy Name’s Marian Hall at 12 p.m. for luncheon and a meeting. Guest speakers from the hospital frequently visit to update the group on new services, programs, and activities. For more information about the Central Auxiliary or a membership application form, call the hospital’s Volunteer Office at 201-833-3217.
