The MS Center at Holy Name
The Multiple Sclerosis Center at Holy Name Hospital represents the achievement of a dedicated team of health professionals and volunteers, many of whom have MS. It is the only not-for-profit facility licensed by the State of New Jersey for the comprehensive treatment of multiple sclerosis.  The Center opened in June, 1985, and for the first time, multiple sclerosis patients from New Jersey and other Eastern areas could have all their MS treatments needs met in one location.  Gifts to the MS Center at Holy Name further the care designed to minimize the disabling effects of multiple sclerosis and maximize individual potential. Medical Equipment
Patients and their families expect Holy Name Hospital to have the very best equipment available for diagnosis, treatment and therapy — and Holy Name invests millions of dollars annually to maintain its technological capabilities.  A significant portion of that investment comes from private philanthropic sources in the form of funds to be used for medical equipment purchases.  Areas such as the Regional Cancer Center, Radiology Department, Cardiac Rehabilitation Department and Operating Room — all need to upgrade their medical equipment on an annual basis.

Programs & Departments
Special programs at Holy Name Hospital are as varied as the interests of our staff and donors and you may designate your gift to a specific program or department at Holy Name.  While many departments have already established funds at the Holy Name Health Care Foundation, they need continued support to help maintain their leading edge care.  Some of the areas that frequently receive philanthropic support include: Regional Cancer Center, Cardiac Diagnostic Center, Pediatrics, Women's Outpatient Center, Multiple Sclerosis Center, Regional Dialysis Center, Radiology, and many others.

Facilities
As medicine advances, Holy Name Hospital must continually update operating rooms, its laboratory and radiology departments, patient floors and other physical spaces to stay on the cutting-edge of patient care.  These renovations and building enhancements cost an enormous amount of money.  Many of these projects provide opportunities for donors to have a great impact in a facility of their choice.

Endowments
Endowment gifts can greatly enhance the future financial security of Holy Name Hospital.  Significant gifts designated to benefit the hospital or a specific program are accepted for endowment purposes.  Endowment gifts and their earnings are invested with professional managers and will be used according to the donor's wishes.  Because of the long-range limitations presented by investing smaller gifts, the minimum desirable level to establish an endowment fund is $50,000.  The management objectives of endowment funds will be to preserve the current value of the donated assets and to generate maximum earnings for current use by Holy Name Hospital.

Naming Opportunities
Holy Name Hospital is proud to recognize the generosity of its donors by naming appropriate facilities in their honor.  The Russ and Angelica Berrie Pavilion, The Kennedy-Breslin Building, the George and Amy Newman Cardiac Diagnostic Center and Stella C. Van Houten Women's Outpatient Center all stand as visible reminders of philanthropy at Holy Name Hospital. We believe that seeing the legacy of past donors inspires others and serve as a reminder that the care delivered by Holy Name today was enhanced by yesterday's generosity.  The impact of a naming gift lasts for generations and is remembered for years to come.
