Spring Fashion Fling For MS

Date: 5/22/2009

Teaneck, NJ - On Sunday April 26, the Holy Name MS Center held its 12th Annual Spring Fashion Fling at the Marriott at Glenpointe, Teaneck, NJ. More than 500 guests were in attendance that day and enjoyed a luncheon, auction, and fashion show. "People love this event and come year after year," explains Susan Zurndofer, Event Chairperson and member, Holy Name Hospital Development Committee. "This fashion show is a celebration of the Holy Name MS Center, the work that it does, the patients it serves, and the people who make it happen."

Chris Cimino, Honorary Chairperson of the event, and meteorologist for WNBC-TV, lead the show, providing entertainment for all. Forty models—MS Center patients and family members, volunteers, and HNH staff—walked the catwalk wearing the latest in spring apparel courtesy of Lord and Taylor at Westfield Garden State Plaza. All proceeds raised benefit the Holy Name MS Center. "The outcome of the fashion show and support from the patients, their families, and staff at Holy Name was truly remarkable," said Scott Guevin, PT, DPT, OCS, Assistant Vice President, Holy Name Hospital.

"The spirit of philanthropy was a delight to see at the fashion show, along with the camaraderie of the patients, family members and MS Center staff," said Kevin McCarthy, CFRE, Vice President of Development and Executive Director, Holy Name Health Care Foundation. "The dedication of the event volunteers and the planning committee was inspiring."

The MS Center offers comprehensive medical, nursing, physical rehabilitation, and support services for multiple sclerosis patients in one convenient location. The staff consists of board-certified neurologists, nurses and clinical nurse practitioners, and social services to help patients and families cope with MS related issues. The Holy Name MS Center is the only non-profit licensed facility of its kind in northern New Jersey.

Holy Name Hospital is a fully accredited, not-for-profit, acute care community hospital located in Teaneck, New Jersey.
