The maternal-fetal experts at Holy Name Medical Center provide care for a wide range of pregnancy risks and conditions, including:
- Conditions involving the fetus that can be treated through fetal intervention.
- Pre-existing maternal medical conditions, such as diabetes, sickle cell anemia, hypertension or lupus, which may worsen during pregnancy and threaten the health of mother and baby.
- Complications unique to pregnancy, such as preterm labor, premature ruptured membranes, preeclampsia or complications due to multiple pregnancies that require close monitoring.
- Evaluation of prior pregnancy losses, including multiple first trimester losses and fetal loss of any kind in the second and third trimester. Many losses are due to treatable conditions which, when corrected, allow women to deliver healthy babies.
