About Me:
Amish Patel, MD, DABR, is a board-certified radiologist with advanced training in interventional radiology. His specialized clinical and research interests include limb salvage and prostate artery embolization.

After graduating from the University of Michigan with distinction and earning his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Patel completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. While there, he served as chief resident and chief fellow, and was awarded the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. During his final year of residency, Dr. Patel worked as a medical journalism intern with the ABC News Medical Unit.

Dr. Patel has published several book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and has presented at numerous national meetings. Earlier this year, he earned an honorable mention for his poster abstract at the Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies (GEST) Annual Meeting. He is Podcast Editor for Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the publications Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, British Medical Journal, Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and American Journal of Roentgenology.
