The Pulmonary Function Laboratory at Holy Name Medical Center offers a number of diagnostic procedures to assess patients' lung status. The lab is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is overseen by a certified respiratory care practitioner/pulmonary function technologist. Diagnostic procedures performed include arterial blood gas puncture and analysis; cooximetry analysis; oximetry readings at rest, continuous, and during exercise; complete and screening pulmonary function testing; apnea studies; Methacholine challenge tests; and cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) lung testing is provided for contracted companies.
