The Sleep Center at Holy Name Medical Center provides professional sleep studies conducted during a pleasant overnight stay at the Medical Center's hotel-like, state-of-the-art sleep center.
|Each of the Center's six suites is comfortably designed with a queen size bed, recliner, TV/DVD with cable, individual temperature control, free Wi-Fi and private bathroom with shower. The Center is conveniently located across the street from Holy Name Medical Center with free on site parking next to the building.|
The Sleep Center at Holy Name Medical Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is directed by pulmonologists and internists who are board-certified in sleep medicine.
The Sleep Center can evaluate you for sleep disorders such as:
- Sleep apnea (interrupted breathing during sleep that can happen hundreds of times per night)
- Periodic limb movement syndrome
- Parasomnia (sleep walking and talking)
- Narcolepsy (involuntary chronic excessive daytime sleepiness)
- Menopause-related sleep problems
During the overnight evaluation, your heart rate, respiration, leg and eye movements, brain waves, and oxygen circulation will be monitored. Once you have completed your sleep study, our multidisciplinary sleep medicine team of pulmonologists, internists and otolaryngologists (ear, nose and throat specialists) will review your results. The team then tailors a treatment plan to your specific needs.
