Iris Erguder, MD, specializes in family medicine with a full-time practice. She provides an individualized treatment approach to her patients, partnering with them to improve their health and wellness. Her education in the Dominican Republic and her experience working in the Bronx improved her knowledge and exposed her to complicated cases that helped her develop her patient-focused approach in her practice. Dr. Erguder is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the New York State Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the Family Practice Inquiries Network.
Dr. Erguder earned her medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and was the Chief Resident in Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, N.Y. She grew up in North Jersey, attended Academy of Holy Angels in Demarest and then earned her BA from Fordham University. Before opening her private practice in 2012, she was the Assistant Director of Research in the Hematology and Oncology department in Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.
