|Ryan Nelson, MD, is an attending physician at The Interventional Institute at Holy Name Medical Center and Advanced Interventional & Vascular Services, LLP. He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. In addition to completing his radiology residency and the DIRECT (Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Enhanced Clinical Training) Pathway in interventional radiology, Dr. Nelson is board certified in internal medicine. He served as the chief resident of the training program during his interventional radiology fellowship.|
Dr. Nelson performs the full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including interventional oncology, peripheral vascular disease, uterine fibroid embolization and interventional pain.
He uses his extensive clinical training in combination with cutting-edge, minimally-invasive procedures to provide patients with comprehensive care allowing for faster recovery and shorter hospital stays.
