About Me:

Jason Hymowitz, DPM, MS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon at Northern Jersey Orthopedic Center. Dr. Hymowitz specializes in sports medicine, musculoskeletal deformities, and post-traumatic and cosmetic surgical reconstruction.

Dr. Hymowitz completed his residency at CarePoint Health | Hoboken University Medical Center in New Jersey with an emphasis on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and he achieved a Master’s degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Dr. Hymowitz evaluates and treats the entire spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including sprains, tears, fractures of the foot and ankle, joint disorders, sports injuries, arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle, lower extremity limb salvage, and wound care. He has expertise in treating ankle ligament instability, achilles tendon tears, plantar fasciitis and bone spurs, bunion deformities, adult acquired flat foot deformity, cavus foot or high arch deformity, pediatric foot/ankle reconstruction, tendonitis, and in providing general podiatric care.

Dr. Hymowitz treats patients of all ages and activity levels with personalized, compassionate, and superior care, consistently supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine. He has expertise in managing conditions with conservative care and only uses surgical intervention when appropriate. He offers minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for treatment of the foot and ankle.

He holds several advanced certifications, including Comprehensive Internal Fixation/Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle and Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy. Dr. Hymowitz also has extensive experience in a multitude of therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and BMAC stem cell injections.

While he’s not caring for patients at Northern Jersey Orthopedic Center and Holy Name Medical Center, Dr. Hymowitz maintains a very active lifestyle. His interests include golf, tennis, basketball, skiing, traveling, hiking, running, and supporting the Jets, Mets, Knicks, and Rangers.
