Dr. Charles Shieh is a thoracic surgeon who provides expert, compassionate care tailored to each individual. The most rewarding part of his job is making a positive impact on his patients’ health and quality of life.
Dr. Shieh has a special interest in thoracic oncology and specializes in minimally invasive procedures including thoracoscopic and robotic approaches to lung cancer resections. He also has expertise in advanced diagnostic procedures such as electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound-guided biopsies, and laparoscopic/robotic interventions for esophageal conditions. Dr. Shieh uses the latest techniques and technology to ensure his patients achieve the best outcomes.
Dr. Shieh earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed surgical residencies at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Lankenau Medical Center near Philadelphia. He completed subspecialty training with fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale-New Haven Health.
