Dr. Samuel Joseph is an anesthesiologist who values empathy and presence when working with patients. He is proud to return to Holy Name after serving as a volunteer in 2005, an experience that inspired him to pursue medicine. The most rewarding part of his work is guiding patients through surgery and helping them move beyond fear.
Dr. Joseph earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and completed residencies at the University of South Florida and Temple University Health System. He was most recently an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has conducted research on intraoperative monitoring and also served as a staff sergeant in the paratroopers brigade in the Israel Defense Forces.
