Dr. Djavlon Khakimov is a double-board-certified reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon who has extensive training in diagnosing and treating various foot and ankle disorders. He strives to provide the highest quality care to his patients by carefully listening to their needs and ensuring that they feel valued and included in decision-making. A firm believer in evidence-based-medicine, Dr. Khakimov stays up to date with the latest treatment guidelines and surgical techniques. The most rewarding aspect of his work is seeing patients walk pain-free after treatment.
Dr. Khakimov earned his graduate degree at New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received several scholarships and awards. He graduated magna cum laude and was in the top 3 of his class. He was also inducted into the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society for his academic achievements. Afterwards, he completed his surgical residency at Morristown Medical Center, where he received extensive training in trauma, reconstructive, and elective surgeries. His residency also included specialized training for sports injuries at Atlantic Health Sports Clinic, which treats players on the New York Jets.
Dr. Khakimov has published numerous research posters as well as articles in various medical journals. His special clinical interests include traumatic injuries of the foot and ankle, sports injuries, arthroscopy, Charcot foot reconstruction, flatfoot reconstruction, total ankle replacement, and minimally invasive surgeries.
