- On-call pediatric subspecialists available for consult, including urology, general surgery, and neurology
- Sophisticated imaging such as CT and ultrasound, often not available at urgent care
- Child-friendly alternatives to intravenous medications for procedures, such as inhaled nitrous oxide (age-dependent)
