Holy Name, the region’s leading independent health system, today announced it is adding four new healthcare professionals to its Holy Name Physicians, bringing the network to include more than 400 providers with locations throughout Northern New Jersey.
“These healthcare professionals help deepen our Physician Network’s skills, cultural understanding, and genuine commitment to patients,” said Dr. Vasantha Kondamudi, executive vice president and chief medical officer at Holy Name. “As we continually expand, we are able to further shape the future of healthcare through education and innovation.”
The following healthcare professionals joined the network:
Yissel Borrego, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a strong foundation in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health. With nearly a decade of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, she provides compassionate care to women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. Yissel earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Georgia and has dedicated her career to empowering women through education, preventive care, and evidence-based practice. Bilingual in both English and Spanish, she strives to ensures every patient feels comfortable and understood. She is proud to continue serving the Holy Name community, where her nursing journey first began.
Quratuliain Nasir, MD is a board-certified hospitalist in internal medicine who combines evidence-based medicine with a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Nasir specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and continuity of care from hospitalization through transition home. She has published case reports on chronic myeloid leukemia and E. coli bacteremia. She earned her medical degree from Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan and completed her residency at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey.
Asvin Sivapalan, MD is a hospitalist who provides compassionate, detail-oriented care grounded in respect and empathy for every patient. He finds deep fulfillment in helping individuals stabilize, heal, and safely return home. Dr. Sivapalan earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten and completed his residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York.
Kelsey Jug, AGNP-BC is a cardiology nurse practitioner committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care built on mutual respect and trust. She finds the most rewarding aspects of her work are helping people feel better and educating them about their health so they feel informed and empowered. Kelsey earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the Yale School of Nursing in West Haven, Connecticut, where she also served as a teaching assistant. She also was a faculty member at Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania.
