our mission

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Holy Name Medical Center aims to create an exemplary community hospital learning environment to train the next generation of clinically excellent physicians who provide compassionate care. The program will teach young physicians to achieve excellence in clinical skills, research, and education. Our program will provide a culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and comprehensive educational experience within the community hospital setting to help our residents reach their professional and personal goals.

OB/GYN Residency Program Vision

Internal Medicine Residency Program Vision

our program aims

  1. Produce well-trained physicians capable of independently practicing in a community-based academic setting through equity and diversity-based recruitment strategies, mentorship, and resident support for progressive responsibility.
  2. Develop graduates who are candidates for and subsequently diplomats of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and who strive to maintain that status throughout their professional careers.
  3. Support physicians as they achieve competency in and ability to continue life-long learning in the six designated competencies as specified by the Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  4. Provide an educational experience with tremendous breadth and depth of expertise, following guidelines set by CREOG in "Educational Objectives: Core Curriculum in Obstetrics and Gynecology".
  5. Achieve consistent accreditation of the residency program by the ACGME, and maintain all educational and professional standards as set forth by that organization.
