Holy Name Medical Center Recognized for A Century of Membership in The American Hospital Association

The American Hospital Association (AHA) has recognized Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey, for 100 years of participation and leadership within the AHA community. AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to Holy Name’s administrative teams and clinical leadership team on May 26, 2026.

Recognized as the national advocate for hospitals and the communities and patients they serve, the AHA works with its members to shape and influence federal legislation and regulation to improve the ability of its members to deliver high-quality health care.

“Our membership in the AHA has ensured that our perspectives and needs are heard and that our priorities are addressed through the organization’s advocacy efforts,” said Mike Maron. “The many benefits we receive, from partner collaborations to health system reforms, directly impact how we operate and deliver care.”

For 100 years, Holy Name has been at the forefront of innovative and compassionate care. As the health system celebrates its centennial, they remain focused on advancing medicine and inspiring hope for generations to come.

Holy Name is New Jersey’s only independent Catholic health system, comprising a 361-bed acute care hospital, a renowned cancer center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a residential hospice, a prestigious nursing school, and an extensive physician network. Healing at Holy Name goes beyond medicine and technology – it is infused with faith, conviction, compassion, and a commitment to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals through graduate medical education, a Pharmacy Residency Program, and the Institute for Simulation Learning.

Holy Name’s mission to provide care for the body, mind, and soul spans education, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and overall wellness. This is at the core of who Holy Name is and what Holy Name does, and it has been this way across generations, every single day, for 100 years. Every innovation, medical breakthrough, and groundbreaking treatment is powered by some of the best minds in medicine, ensuring nothing is left on the table or the road to recovery.

“The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Holy Name Medical Center for 100 years of membership in the AHA and for their dedication to the New Jersey and New York metropolitan area,” said AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine. “We thank their leaders, medical staff, caregivers and other colleagues for providing a full range of medical care that is tailored to meet each patient’s needs.”
