Tribute Gifts

Tribute gifts recognize important people in one's life in a way that keeps their name top-of-mind for both donor and recipient, and makes the recognized individual part of a meaningful legacy.

Gifts "In Honor of" celebrate, thank or acknowledge others -- a loved one, friend, coworker, caregiver -- or a special occasion, such as the arrival of a newborn, a birthday or anniversary.

Honored Caregiver Program - For those wishing to express their appreciation to a Holy Name healthcare provider, the Foundation offers its Honored Caregiver Program, allowing you to make a gift "In Honor of" a doctor, nurse or other staff member, or volunteer, who brightened your healthcare experience or made a meaningful contribution to your life. It might have been a lifesaving or life-enhancing procedure, emergency visit, scheduled appointment, helpful conversation or comforting hand. Holy Name staff members who are recognized by donors receive an Honored Caregiver lapel pin to identify them as recipients of this thoughtful tribute.

Gifts "In Memory of" celebrate and commemorate the life of a loved one or valued friend who has passed. Your gift will serve as a lasting remembrance of a person who has made a difference for you, and is also a meaningful way to express your condolences to a grieving family.

Acknowledgement

Holy Name Foundation sends an acknowledgment of your gift to the person or family you are honoring/remembering, notifying them of your kind contribution without specifying the amount. You will also receive a separate acknowledgment letter with our thanks. Gifts not designated for a special purpose will be applied to an area of greatest need.

Founders Circle

The Founders Circle is Holy Name's leadership annual giving program comprised of an exceptional group of benefactors whose resources help to ensure the provision of state-of-the-art, compassionate medical care delivered the Holy Name way. Annual gifts of $1,000 or more qualify donors for special opportunities to join others who share your commitment to Holy Name's healing mission and the communities we serve. Gift Securities

Holy Name Foundation accepts gifts of publicly traded securities, affording donors one of the Internal Revenue Service's most significant tax breaks. Gifts of securities have two important advantages: The full value can be deducted on the day they are given to Holy Name, and capital gains tax can be avoided on their growth. The fair market value assigned to gifts of securities is the mean between the highest and lowest quoted selling price on the gift's date of delivery. Legacy Society

The Holy Name Legacy Society honors individuals who have made a planned gift to benefit Holy Name. Examples of planned gifts include:

• Leaving a bequest (a gift in your will) to Holy Name Foundation
• Naming Holy Name Foundation as a beneficiary of your brokerage account, retirement plan or life insurance policy
• Creating a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust to support the Holy Name health system and receive income payments

Matching Gifts

Matching gifts allow you to double, and possibly triple, your gift to Holy Name Foundation. Many companies match their employees' charitable contributions, and some companies match the gifts of spouses or retirees. Matching gifts provide a simple and effective way to enhance your charitable intentions. To find out if your company offers a matching gift program, contact the human resources or benefits office.

Events Participation

Holy Name Foundation hosts a series of fundraising events and initiatives that provide opportunities to interact, celebrate and make a collective impact by supporting essential programs and services in the Holy Name health system. These include: Founders Ball, Golf Classic, Spring Fashion Show, MS Awards Dinner, and Dress the Heroes magazine. We look to the generosity of our sponsors and partners to ensure the success of these initiatives, and value the opportunity to work with individuals and corporate partners to develop comprehensive and personalized sponsorship packages.

Corporate Partnerships

A philanthropic partnership with Holy Name Foundation provides corporations with opportunities to drive advances to our health system through new program development, technology acquisition and facilities enhancement, both now and into the future. Event Sponsorship

Sponsoring a Holy Name Foundation special event is a powerful way to associate your brand with Holy Name's healing mission. In-Kind Donations

Donations of goods, supplies and products help to enhance patient experience and supplement the activities we afford our supporters. In-kind gifts can be donated to our events, in the form of raffle prizes and auction items. Donating services, such as printing, graphic design and consulting, are also useful and practical ways to support Holy Name Foundation.

Foundation Grants

Holy Name Foundation pursues and is the recipient of local, national, family, private and community foundation grants. Foundation grants support numerous, critical program needs within Holy Name. Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that is managed, maintained and operated by a 501(c)(3) sponsoring organization. Donor-advised funds help monitor charitable giving activity, efficiently involve family in charitable gift discussions, and maximize tax benefits. DAFs can be funded with cash, stock, real estate and other assets. Donors make a recommendation for a grant from their DAF to Holy Name Foundation, and can also name the Foundation as their DAF beneficiary, thereby designating remaining funds to our mission.
